Job Summary:
The incumbent will serve as Perfusionist responsible for performing perfusion on cardiac surgical patient, cell saver on orthopedic, cardiac and neurosurgical patients.
In addition to the procedures all equipment, supplies, and documentation must be maintained in accordance with all regulatory rules.
Perfusionist responsibilities will approximately equal Ninety (90) percent and cell saver activity will represent approximately Ten (10) percent.
Job Responsibilities:
-Performs selection of the perfusion circuit and prime solution to accommodate the requirements of the patient, the proposed procedure, and the preferences of the primary surgeon.
-Prepares the disposable and non-disposable components of the cardiopulmonary circuit in preparation for the impending surgical exercises.
-Assures the safety and function of the heart lung machine, the disposable circuit, and all related ancillary equipment.
