Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA), client site rules, Codes of Practice, and company SHEQ standards, and maintain your legal appointment as MHSA 2.17.1 Safety Officer
• Conduct safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments across workshops, warehouses, vehicles, mobile equipment, and drill rigs
• Conduct safety inductions and facilitate safety training and awareness programmes
• Capture and analyse PTOs, VFLs, and HPHs using leading and lagging indicators
• Identify hazards, implement risk controls, and maintain safety files and risk assessments
• Develop and test emergency response plans and conduct drills
• Assist with incident investigations and compile safety reports
