Purpose of the job

We are looking for a Personal Assistant to provide companionship and person-centered support to a friendly, sociable gentleman living with Alzheimer’s disease, enabling him to remain active and independent and engaged in the activities he enjoys.
The successful Personal Assistant will build a trusting relationship with a gentleman who has a great sense of humour, enjoys a laugh, and doesn’t take anything seriously. He can occasionally be cheeky, so a confident, easy-going person who doesn’t take offence easily and can respond with warmth and good humour would be an ideal match.
The role focuses on supporting him to continue enjoying everyday life, including food preparation, gardening, watching football, spending time outdoors, and taking part in social and community Alzheimer’s friendly activities. He is very family-oriented and benefits from encouragemen...
