About the Role

Support worker/carer required for a young non‑verbal man with additional needs during school holidays and occasional other times. The role includes supporting him at home and out in the community, helping him access activities he enjoys, and providing personal care support as he is double incontinent.

Responsibilities

• Support with outings and activities
• Prepare and provide food and drinks
• Provide personal care support (toileting, showering/bathing, getting in and out of bed, dressing)
• Help maintain a safe, calm and enjoyable environment
• Use communication methods including Makaton and PECS

Requirements & Qualifications

• Caring, patient and reliable
• Experience supporting people with additional needs, autism and non‑verbal communication
• Understanding of Makaton and PECS
• Comfortable around dogs
• Own a car and full driving licen...
