Position Overview
SUMMARY
The PET/CT Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality PET/CT imaging studies in accordance with established protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. This role supports accurate diagnosis and patient care through precise imaging, safe radiopharmaceutical handling, and clear communication with radiologists, staff, and patients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
β’ Perform PET/CT imaging procedures according to physician orders and RMI protocols
β’ Prepare, administer, and document radiopharmaceuticals in compliance with radiation safety standards
β’ Operate PET/CT equipment safely and accurately to produce diagnostic-quality images
β’ Verify patient identity, review clinical history, and ensure exam appropriateness prior to scanning
