We are looking for a motivated and intellectually curious PhD candidate who is eager to conduct educational research on foreign language learning and teaching. While you are not expected to possess all of the competencies listed below at the start, you should be willing and able to develop them relatively quickly.

You hold a Master's degree in Linguistics and Literature, Applied Linguistics, Linguistics, or a related field, preferably with French as one of your languages of study.

Candidates who have not yet obtained their Master's degree may still apply, provided they can demonstrate that they are expected to graduate before October 1, 2026. All degree requirements must be met by the date of appointment.

Completion of a teacher education programme (Educational Master's degree or equivalent) is considered an asset.

Through your studies (e.g., a Master's thesis), you have acquired knowledge of language education and language learning.
