Position Summary:
Therapistsare responsible forconducting therapeutic services for patients,interviewingand developingthe psychologicalhistory, assessing the therapeutic needs of the individual and family, developingappropriate treatmentobjectives, and treatment plan updates for patients. Therapists conduct family sessions prior to discharge. Therapists act as the patients’ and families’ primary contact during the patient’s stay at the facility, as well as their advocate with the treatment team.Therapists are also liaisons with outside agencies and individuals for the purpose of developing and coordinating discharge planning with the treatment team and family.
Conducts general psychotherapy group sessions for patients daily. Demonstrates a high level of clinical skill in assessing the clinical needs of the patient, determining appropriate groupinterventionsand inconducting the group in accordance with these needs.
