Position Overview
Summary The Physical Therapist serves as a clinician within Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Services (PM&RS). Clinical responsibilities include independent chart review, complex physical therapy evaluations, establishing PT diagnoses, determining appropriate rehabilitation interventions, and modifying plans of care based on ongoing assessment. Treatments integrate Whole Health principles and may require coordination with Prosthetics for assistive devices and specialized clinics. Responsibilities Major duties include but are not limited to the following: Evaluation and Treatment Education Receives the patient's referral from an appropriate physician/ provider or via Direct Scheduling / Direct Access protocols within NWIHCS. Demonstrates the ability to make autonomous clinical decisions in a Direct Access environment. Adheres to the VA scheduling directive.
