Job Description

Emory Division of Hospital Medicine, Department of Medicine. This position is for an inpatient Hospital Medicine faculty physician.

Professional Service
• You will be expected to devote your total professional effort to professional service.
• You are expected to perform the following duties as an inpatient Hospital Medicine physician on professional service: history and physical examinations of patients being admitted to the hospital; assessing the acuity of hospitalized patients and ensuring a proper level of care; bedside procedures as needed and credentialed for; consultations services for specialty provider partners; order consultations from specialty provider partners; initiating contact with primary care providers and teams in the outpatient setting in order to ensure appropriate continuity of care.
