Summary You will serve as a PIPEFITTER in the PRODUCTION DIVISION of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC. Responsibilities You will install, modify, and repair complex new and existing high-pressure piping systems and associated equipment, including steam-heating, steam generation, hydraulic systems, flash tanks, and circulating pumps. You will plan and lay out the routing, placement, pitch, incline, and elevation of piping systems and equipment by working directly from building plans, blueprints, and technical sketches. You will determine the correct placement levels, install, and align critical system components such as risers, flexible branches, expansion joints, pressure regulators, and vacuum pumps. You will test completed installations and repairs to ensure proper circulation, flow, and pressure, verifying that all joints are entirely leak-free and compliant with trade standards.
