**Job Description**

+ The pipefitter installs, maintains, and repairs marine piping systems on vessels, including steam, heat and power, hot water, hydraulic, air pressure, and oil lines. This role follows blueprints, layouts, and work orders to fabricate, fit, and test piping systems using hand tools and shop machines, ensuring all installations meet required specifications and standards.

**Responsibilities**

+ Install and maintain shipboard piping systems such as steam, heat and power, hot water, hydraulic, air pressure, and oil lines in accordance with blueprints, layouts, work orders, and applicable specifications.
+ Plan the layout of pipe sections, taking into account specifications, obstructions, and required openings in bulkheads and decks.
+ Cut and bore holes in bulkheads and decks to allow for the proper installation and routing of pipes.
