Summary Serves as Journeyman Pipefitter within the Facilities Management Service/Engineering Branch at the Orlando VA Medical Center. Employee is responsible to the WS-4701-10, Maintenance and Operations Supervisor. The Journeyman Pipefitter will be responsible for the day to day maintenance and operations of all pipefitting duties that encompass the installation, maintenance, repair and inspection of all varieties of plumbing, kitchen equipment, medical gas piping systems, steam systems etc. Responsibilities Duties include, but are not limited to: Install, maintain, repair and inspect all varieties of plumbing and gas piping systems and mechanical equipment used in the facility. Periodically inspect piping, valves, control fittings and auxiliary equipment of steam plant, gas fired equipment and steam, gas and water distribution systems for defects.
