Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Plant Marshal with a Slinger Ticket to work on an ongoing temporary basis in Exeter, Devon.

Key Duties

* Direct and marshal plant machinery, delivery vehicles, and site traffic to ensure safe movement around the construction site.
* Perform Slinger/Signaller duties by attaching, securing, and guiding loads during crane lifting operations.
* Communicate effectively with crane operators using recognised hand signals and radio communication.
* Conduct pre-lift checks, ensuring lifting accessories were suitable, inspected, and used correctly.
* Establish and maintain exclusion zones around lifting and plant operating areas.
* Monitor pedestrian routes and control access to hazardous work areas.
