About the role
This is a permanent, part-time position in the Hospital Play Specialist Team and the position can work across all wards, but the current need is in the Childrens Emergency Department at Starship for 2 days per week, 10am to 10pm. The Hospital Play Specialists work with all age groups supporting infants, children and young people to become confident and competent learners within the context of their hospital experience. With a strong educational and psycho-social framework that supports whānau involvement, we facilitate childrens continued development and their ability to cope successfully with challenges related to their hospital visit.
