Position Overview

  • Experience with the specific POS system being used, including transaction processing and sales reporting
  • Maintaining and supporting all POS-related IT equipment, including servers, desktops, cash registers, laptops, databases, and printers
  • Troubleshooting POS software
  • Analyzing user requirements as well as software performance
  • Installing updates
  • Supporting and solving system issues or failures
  • Working with IT and technical teams to develop and modify systems to meet current and future needs
  • Hardware and software testing and diagnostics
  • Networking: Knowledge of network configuration and protocols is a foundational skill
