What You Will DoAs a part of the Fire and Implications for Resilient Environments (FIRE) Team within the Earth and Environmental Science Division, you will be supporting wildland fire modeling projects using R&D 100 winning tools: FIRETEC and QUIC-Fire. This role is focused on supporting numerous wildland fire projects. Your responsibilities include:Support the development, testing, and distribution of QUIC-Fire and its graphical user interfaceFeature developmentDebuggingMaintain and support user communityCollaborate closely with internal and external scientist, researchers, and techniciansRun fire and disturbance simulations for ongoing projectsExpected duration: 24-monthsApplication deadline for best consideration: May 1st 2026What You NeedMinimum Job Requirements:
