Position Overview

What You Will DoAs a part of the Fire and Implications for Resilient Environments (FIRE) Team within the Earth and Environmental Science Division, you will be supporting wildland fire modeling projects using R&D 100 winning tools: FIRETEC and QUIC-Fire. This role is focused on supporting numerous wildland fire projects. Your responsibilities include:
  • Support the development, testing, and distribution of QUIC-Fire and its graphical user interface
  • Feature development
  • Debugging
  • Maintain and support user community
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external scientist, researchers, and technicians
  • Run fire and disturbance simulations for ongoing projects

    What You NeedMinimum Job Requirements:
  • Background in CS, mathematics, physics, or other STEM fields
