The Vehicle Technology Assessment (VTA) Group within the Vehicle and Mobility Systems department (VMS, vms.taps.anl.gov ) at Argonne National Laboratory is looking for a postdoctoral appointee to assess vehicle technologies to quantify energy consumption, performance and cost benefits.

In this role, a successful candidate will perform vehicle modelling and simulation of advanced powertrains to quantify the impacts of new component technologies, control algorithms and powertrain architectures with focus on advanced technologies. The candidate will assist on projects to benchmark next generation vehicle systems, identify opportunities for improvement, and/or analyze their impacts at individual, regional and national level. The candidate will also be tasked to develop new ideas into projects under the supervision of more experienced researchers.
