Postdoctoral researcher in microbiome bioinformatics

Department of Computing at the University of Turku is searching for a fixed‑term postdoctoral researcher in computational systems biology, focusing on the links between microbiome and cancer. The work can start on August 1, or based on mutual agreement during 2026. The position is fixed‑term for 12 months.

We are seeking a highly motivated computational biologist to join the research group team of Prof. Leo Lahti (Department of Computing, University of Turku). The project focuses on microbiome (eco)systems biology in cancer research in close collaboration with Prof. Peter Boström (Department of Urology, Turku University Hospital).
