Our client is a global engineering business supplying highly engineered products into the energy sector. They are looking to appoint a Principal Engineer to provide technical leadership across product design, engineering analysis and development projects whilst mentoring a team of engineers.

The Role

You'll play a key role in the design, analysis and continuous development of specialist engineered equipment, taking ownership of projects from initial concept through to manufacture and customer delivery.

Responsibilities include:

* Mechanical design and development of specialist engineered products

* Structural assessment using hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

* Technical leadership across multiple engineering projects

* Reviewing and approving engineering drawings, reports and calculations

* Leading design reviews and technical discussions
