Job Purpose
- The Private Rented Sector (PRS) Officer is tasked with leading the delivery of the Council’s Rental Support Scheme. This role is crucial in assisting households who are homeless or at risk of homelessness to secure and maintain suitable private rented accommodation.
Key Duties/Accountabilities
- Lead the day-to-day delivery of the Rental Support Scheme.
- Increase access to private rented properties through proactive landlord and agent engagement.
- Develop and promote landlord incentive schemes to encourage participation.
- Match households to suitable properties efficiently to reduce temporary accommodation usage.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with private landlords, letting agents, and partners.
