Job Summary
The Associate Manufacturing Process Engineer is an entry-level professional who supports manufacturing operations in a wafer fab or assembly/test facility. This role works under direct supervision to apply basic engineering concepts to monitor processes, collect data, and assist with troubleshooting. This position provides a strong foundation in the core activities of semiconductor process engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitors production processes using statistical process control (SPC) charts and responds to out-of-control conditions according to documented procedures.
- Assists in conducting experiments (DOEs) by collecting and compiling data under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Helps troubleshoot minor process and equipment issues on the manufacturing line.
- Supports the qualification of new equipment or materials by performing assigned tests and collecting data.
