Fuel procurement responsibilities include strategic sourcing, negotiating (spot market and contracts), procuring fuel, and communication/coordination with business units and suppliers, ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and regulatory compliance. Acts as a sourcing subject matter specialist for the assigned category to support category management objectives through development and execution of related plans and strategies in accordance with organizational priorities. Assists the category management team through the entire life cycle of assigned strategic sourcing initiatives and category, from requirements development through contract completion and transition, in accordance to strategic sourcing methodologies, processes and tools.


Due to the nature of the maritime business/operations, this role operates hours a day depending on business needs, ensuring fuel procurement and supply management are maintained without disruptions.
