The Electrical Distribution Systems Design and Release (D&R) Engineer is responsible for the design, development, validation, and release of the wiring harnesses under their responsibility. The EDS D&R is also responsible for design improvements that lead to quality increase, cost and weight optimizations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the design, development, validation, and release of wiring harnesses under responsibility.
• Design wiring harnesses complying with program cost, weight, quality, performance, and timing targets.
• Ensure compliance to requirements and specifications through Robustness Engineering Disciplines (Quality history, P-Diagram, FMEA, etc.).
• Apply Six Sigma and 8D.
• Work 4 days on site in GTBC FORD MÉXICO (NAUCALPAN).
• Lead Technical Design Reviews (TDRs).
• Release parts in FEDEBOM and WERS through the product life cycle; support the Change Control Meeting.
