Duties Description Under the direction of the Regional Structures Management Engineer, the successful candidate will be expected to perform as a Bridge Inspection Team Leader. This includes, but is not limited to, the following duties:
• Complete, maintain, and apply related bridge inspection training, including the operation of vehicles and equipment such as bucket trucks, under bridge inspection units, and motorboats.
• Plan, organize, and lead bridge inspections in accordance with NBIS, AASHTO, NYSDOT, and other applicable requirements.
• Review bridge records, plans, previous inspection reports, and relevant data to prepare for inspections and assess changes in condition.
• Receive and apply effective safety training, monitor and enforce safety procedures, including work zone traffic control, and lead by example with personal adherence to safety.
