Summary The Under Secretary of War (Comptroller) is responsible for carrying out the functions assigned by Title IV, Public Law 216, 81st Congress and codified in Title 10 & 135. These functions ensure the utmost economy and efficiency in the operations of the Department of War (DoW) through sound business management and effective fiscal planning and control. Responsibilities Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing policies, programs, and procedures for providing management officials with useful and timely information needed for effective direction of DoW programs.
