Valard Construction is seeking a Project Accountant for our Edmonton or Calgary locations, specializing in project-based accounting and financial management. This position offers a chance to contribute to operational cost control and support financial activities across multiple projects.
In this position, reporting to the Project Controller, you will ensure timely and accurate tracking of expenses, manage billing processes, and lead month-end financial activities. Your expertise will help streamline financial operations, enhancing project profitability and reporting accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Setup and monitor project costs meticulously
• Compile and support billing information
• Facilitate month-end cost accrual sessions
• Manage change orders and assist with financial forecasting
• Verify subcontractor contracts and commitments
Requirements:
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
• Minimum 3 years in project-based accounting
