Yanacocha Water Treatment Plant (WTP) is located 800 km northeast of Lima, Peru, and serves as the largest gold mine in South America. The WTP Project consists of two of the continent’s largest acid water treatment plants: the West plant with a capacity of 3,000 m3 /hour and the East plant with 2,700 m3 /hour. Early works are underway to prepare permanent platforms and laydown areas for both plants, along with a Class 2 estimate, Level 3 schedule, and Execution Plan.
As a Project Communication Specialist, you will develop high‑quality communication materials that support leadership in building a strong safety‑oriented culture and successful project execution. You will provide issues management, internal communications, and community affairs support for the Yanacocha Water Treatment Plant, based on site with a shift schedule.
