The successful candidate will support the characterisation and evaluation of carbonaceous materials for lithium‑ion and next‑generation battery applications. The role will involve assisting in materials analysis, electrochemical testing, and data collection to support ongoing research and development activities related to battery materials and electrode performance. The candidate will work closely with the research team to study the structure, morphology, and electrochemical behaviour of carbon materials such as graphite, hard carbon, and conductive additives used in battery systems.

• Assist in the characterisation of carbonaceous materials (e.g., graphite, hard carbon, soft carbon, graphene, carbon nanotubes) used in lithium‑ion batteries.
• Support routine material characterisation and analysis using techniques such as:
  • X‑ray diffraction (XRD)
  • Raman spectroscopy
  • BET surface area analysis ...
