Protective Services Worker Job Description
Protective services workers, also known as social services workers, work to ensure the safety and wellbeing of adults and children who may be experiencing abuse or neglect. They are responsible for investigating claims of abuse or neglect, providing case management for affected parties, and coordinating protective services when needed.
Protective Services Worker Responsibilities:
- Investigating and verifying claims of neglect or abuse by interviewing involved parties and conducting home visits.
- Collecting evidence such as medical reports, arrest records, and court filings to determine the validity of claims.
- Working with law enforcement members to coordinate immediate protective services if needed.
