Summary About the Position: This position is with the U.S. Army Transportation Command (ARTRANS), 596th U.S. Army Transportation Surface Brigade, located at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington. The incumbent will serves as ARTRANS Public Affairs Specialist for a Transportation Brigade and its subordinate activities. Responsibilities Integrate Public Affairs strategies into Brigade operational plans, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and OPORDs. Establish and manage physical port press centers during active military deployments, operations, and exercises. Manage live media engagements by intervening to guide narratives and conducting post-interview strategic analysis. Enforce Department of Defense communication and social media policy compliance across all subordinate battalions.
