Position Overview

Obtain fair and open competition on purchases 
Keep informed of current developments in purchasing, prices, market conditions, and new products 
Utilize and maintain forms necessary to conform to requirements 
Inspect supplies, services, and equipment purchased to ensure conformance with specifications 
Negotiate with suppliers for quality, cost, and delivery 
Compare and negotiate prices of needed products and finalize orders 
Process purchase orders from requisitions 
Maintain supplier quotation records 
Work independently, organize work, set priorities, and meet deadlines 
Record and update accounts payables, monitoring due dates 
Prepare accounts payable at designated due dates
