Summary You will serve as a PURCHASING AGENT in the MARINE CORPS RECRUITMENT COMMAND of 4TH MARINE CORPS. Responsibilities You will review and edit purchase requests to ensure the item or service is adequately described based on the requester's need; and ensure all information has been provided and the request is consistent with local and area policies. You will advise requestors on purchases, policies, methods of procurement, and issues with a potential conflict on competition; advise on the best methods of procuring complex, specialized, scientific equipment not normally found on the open market. You will conduct open market negotiations and make competitive or sole source small purchases for complex, non-routine scientific equipment and/or services not commonly available on the open market.
