Responsibilities

1. Perform a complete layout inspection by measuring dimensions—length, height, and distance between reference points—using precision instruments such as micrometres, callipers, dial indicator, and CMM to ensure the product meets specifications.
2. Locate reference point(s) on the part and measure dimensions such as angle, arc, and radii, using combinations of aids.
3. Measure product dimensions, examine functionality, and compare the final product to specifications.
4. Report quality problems or findings to the Quality Control Manager and follow up to ensure corrective action is taken.
5. Inspect 100% of incoming parts or raw materials.
6. Manage and control inspection of incoming parts.
7. Maintain a record of inspections, prepare a list of defects, and interact with other departments to ensure compliance with specifications and facilitate acceptance of parts.
