Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Lead Technologist and following established procedures performs a variety of technical radiologic procedures using standard portable and/or specialized x-ray equipment to apply prescribed ionizing radiation in order to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patientsillness and injuries. Performs related tasks such as assisting patients in positioning for correct anatomical exposure maintaining order and cleanliness of work area and performing routine clerical tasks.
Responsibilities:
Transfer positions and instructs patients regarding the procedure in order to obtain and effect the desired radiographic diagnostic results as specified by the physician; utilizes immobilization and other devices for holding or positioning the patient as necessary.
