Overview
The Radiology Tech Aide supports the diagnostic imaging team by assisting with patient preparation, procedure setup, and department workflow to ensure efficient and safe imaging services. This role is essential in maintaining a smooth clinical environment, improving patient experience, and supporting technologists and radiologists in delivering high-quality imaging care.
Responsibilities
* Assist technologists in preparing patients for imaging procedures, including verifying patient identification, explaining procedures, and helping with gowning and positioning under supervision.
* Transport patients to and from the Radiology Department in a timely and safe manner, ensuring appropriate handling of IVs, oxygen, and monitoring equipment if needed.
* Clean and prepare exam rooms between patients, ensuring rooms and equipment are stocked, sanitized, and ready for use according to infection control policies.
