The Role

As a Range Support Technician, you will be part of a hands-on operational team responsible for delivering naval trials by physically deploying, moving, and recovering equipment across both marine and land environments.

Day-to-day, you’ll work outdoors in a varied and practical role by operating boats and heavy equipment, supporting test activities, and ensuring trials run safely and effectively from setup through to completion.

Your responsibilities will include:

Operating boats (including RIBs) to deploy and recover equipment during trials

Supporting naval test activities by placing and retrieving equipment in the water

Operating plant and vehicles (HGVs, cranes, forklifts, telehandlers) to move and position equipment

Preparing, loading, and unloading trial equipment safely and efficiently
