Department: Acute Recreational Therapy

The Recreation Therapist is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of therapeutic recreation services that promote patient engagement in support of patients’ functional abilities, independence, and overall well‑being. Working collaboratively as part of the interprofessional team, the Recreation Therapist contributes to patient‑centered care, supports safe and timely transitions, and helps optimize quality of life across the continuum of care.

Qualifications

• Degree in Therapeutic Recreation required. Candidates with diploma in Recreation Therapy who have relevant, current related experience will also be considered and are encouraged to apply.
• Minimum 4 years recent experience in an acute care, clinical, and/or rehabilitation setting required.
