Job Summary

Plans, coordinates, implements, and evaluates a variety of recreation programs and services to meet patient needs for social, physical, and cognitive functioning.

Accountabilities

Works with patients in groups and individually to assess therapy needs and develop appropriate activities, programs, and treatments processes.

Documents treatment, evaluation, and patient progress as required by the department.

Ensures maintenance of equipment in safe and proper working order; reports unsafe conditions and requests repairs as necessary.

Provides oversight to RTA, technical support, students and volunteers.

Participates in studies to determine needs for new programs or services, develops and recommends new programs for identified patient needs.
