Position: Regional Telecommunications Specialist – Fixed Term – Te Upoko Region

Location: Wellington, New Zealand (anywhere within TeUpoko region)

Duration: Fixed-term role through 24 December 2026, starting ASAP.

Salary: $102,751 – $114,168 pro rata, depending on skills and experience.

Overview

You are an experienced telecommunications professional with a strong background in radio communications and a passion for supporting frontline operations. Reporting to the National Telecommunications Manager, you will be part of a small specialist team providing regional and nationally consistent telecommunications support, focusing on rural operational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support, maintain, and troubleshoot radio and communications systems across stations, vehicles, and operational environments.
• Manage contractor support and installation, including ensuring quality assurance.
