Responsibilities

• Practice in accordance with the regulator’s Scope of Practice, ensuring completion of all required competencies and clinical privileging prior to delivering direct patient care.
• Provide safe and compassionate care during the antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal, and newborn periods.
• Deliver evidence‑based care for spontaneous vaginal deliveries (SVD), assist with instrumental vaginal deliveries, and manage caesarean deliveries (both emergent and elective) for mother and newborn, in line with scope of practice, life‑support provider status, and clinical privileging.
