Summary This vacancy will fill a Registered Nurse for the Acute Care Service at VA Pittsburgh at the University Drive Campus. Responsibilities The incumbent will be expected to anticipate emergencies, coordinate prevention, and respond appropriately to emergent situations as defined by Medical Center policies and procedures. She/he will be expected to participate in unit and hospital-based quality improvement activities and continuous education. She/he will have a demonstrated competency in the completion of core and practice-specific procedures as well as the developed skills with medication administration, IV infusions, PCA pumps, Crash Cart/Defibrillators, Chest tubes, Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI), Telemetry monitoring, Electrocardiograms (EKG), and Cardiac Rhythm interpretation.
