Nurse – Addiction Treatment Unit

The addiction treatment unit opened on 1 May 2026 at the Tays campus as part of the mental health and substance abuse services of the Pirkanmaa wellbeing services county. The unit provides 24/7, non‑hospital level inpatient addiction treatment for adults whose treatment cannot be managed with outpatient services.

Role Overview

As a nurse, you will implement and monitor patient care according to individual treatment and rehabilitation plans. Your duties include:

• Detoxification treatment and other unit services
• Medication administration, including opioid substitution therapy
• Assessment, treatment, and guidance regarding patients’ health and social situations
• Individual, group, and community care
• Collaboration with follow‑up care providers and third sector organizations
