The Opportunity

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care to residents in accordance with required medical care and professional nursing practice. This role supervises the activities and provides direction to the Registered Practical Nurses and Personal Support Workers.

What You Will Do

• In collaboration with the Director of Care/Assistant Director of Care, implement AgeCare policies and procedures on the neighbourhood.
• Provide input into the revision of procedures within the Home.
• Liaise with physicians and other members of the health care team including external health care partners.
• Immediately notify the physician of any significant changes in resident status.
• Coordinate nursing and other services for the residents within the neighbourhood and with other services within the residence.
• Provide supervision and direction to the Registered Practical Nurses and Personal Support Workers.
