Demonstrates knowledge of the conditions/diagnoses, procedures, and equipment encountered in the Endoscopy unit, including cardiovascular and pulmonary. Consistently maintains SGNA standards of practice. Has competent knowledge of all the normal stages of growth and development and delivers care appropriately. Assesses patient understanding of procedure and actively includes the patient and family members in teaching. Demonstrates appropriate knowledge and skill in the recognition and management of emergency situations.
