Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence‑based and compassionate nursing care to patients recovering from a variety of surgical interventions.
• Complete comprehensive assessments, develop and implement care plans, monitor patient progress, and support patients and their whānau to understand treatment and recovery pathways.
• Perform postoperative monitoring, wound and drain care, and pain management, including using PCA and epidural analgesia where certified.
