Prepares clinical and progress notes, coordinates services, works as liaison between treating physician and other personnel regarding changes in the client's condition and family members.
Counsels the clients and family in meeting nursing and related needs, participates in in‑service programs, and supervises and teaches other nursing personnel.
Specific Tasks
Monitoring and recording vital signs and reporting abnormal values to the treating physicians.
Administering prescribed medications.
Monitoring intravenous infusions and parenteral therapies.
Caring for clients with tracheostomy, gastrostomy, and colostomy.
Carrying out nursing care for clients with pacemaker, peritoneal dialysis, and clients on ventilator.
Delivering nursing care for clients with hemiplegia, paraplegia, Bell’s palsy, cerebral palsy, terminally ill, and elderly etc.
