**Job Description**
The Clinical Nurse IV (CNIV), is an expert clinician who demonstrates a high level of knowledge and expertise in a specialty as well as general nursing. The CN IV consistently demonstrates excellence in all areas of nursing practice including nursing care delivery, staff education, research, and collaboration. Evaluates and works to improve the process of patient care delivery within the unit and division. The CNIV manages complex, unpredictable patient care situations and is a nursing shift leader. Serves as a clinical and operational resource to the nursing staff, the unit, the organization, and the community to promote the advancement of nursing. The CN IV will assume primary responsibility for the mentoring and coaching of a designated group of employees in one of the three professional advancement pathways (Clinical Quality, Education, Leadership) that most closely aligns with their skillset.
