About the department

Bassett Medical Center's Inpatient Surgical Unit is a 46-bed unit. Our staff exemplifies teamwork, and we want you to join our team! We provide quality patient care to a wide variety of post-operative patients ranging from orthopedic, neurology, urology, general GI, plastics, vascular, bariatric, and more. You will learn and refine skills, and become an expert on wound care/vacs, NG tubes, feeding tubes, chest tubes, and CAPD to name a few.
