Summary The Hines VA Patient Safety Manager (PSM) works as part of the Patient Safety Team on the daily management of the Patient Safety Program and implementation of National Patient Safety Goals. Duties include review of all patient safety and environment of care standards along with assuring proper guidance is provided throughout the hospital. Selection is responsable for assisting in the development of processes to ensure that all required patient safety information is acted upon. Responsibilities Examples of Patient Saftey Manager Duties include, but are not limited to: Review all patient event reporting to identify patient safety issues. Track and trend data and report any findings to the Quality Board. Attend New Employee Orientation (NEO) and educate new staff on the Patient Safety Program including the National Patient Safety Goals.
