**6 West Extension: Intermediate Care**

+ No trachs/Vent patients
+ 1:4 days with the potential 1:5 if needed
+ 1:5 nights with the potential of 1:6 in certain circumstances
+ Cardiac drips
+ High flow O2 (bipap, avaps, airvo)
+ True intermediate/step down patients. Diverse patients.
+ Access temporary dialysis lines

Diverse intermediate unit. Seeing an array of patients, mostly cardiac and respiratory illness. Cardiac cath recovery as well as preparation for open heart surgery.
